Round 3 – TRADE

When the LA Rams look at the players on the board, nobody excites them. But their phone rings and the Green Bay Packers propose a trade that the Rams cannot refuse. We have our first Rams’ trade when the Rams arrive at round 3, pick 84. TRADE Green Bay Packers trade picks 94 (3rd) 136 (4th) and 192 (6th) for Rams pick 84.  Green Bay picks TE Adam Trautman from Dayton

The LA Rams wanted to multiply picks in this draft, and quickly find an opportunity to do so. The Packers choose Dayton’s tight end, Adam Trautman, with the 84th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-5 and 255-pounds, the Packers like his size. But they like his 11 starts for 916 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns even more.

He’s a huge target for QB Aaron Rodgers, and in a shallow tight end class, the Packers simply trade up to get their guy.  That means the Rams grab two more valuable picks and drop just ten spots to do so. Will the Rams pick at 94, or trade back once more?
