Conclusion & Changes

As stated before the theme of this mock is to bolster Ram’s number one defense and then give Stafford as much help as possible. Creed Humphries more than likely won’t drop to pick 57 and you can find great value elsewhere in the later rounds. because of that, I decided a pass rusher on the team is the biggest need if the Rams can’t retain Leonard Floyd.

After that, I continued with Paddy Fisher from my last mock draft. As stated earlier linebacker is the biggest weakness of that defense. You can’t convince me to move off of him with one exception, Nate Landman. Fortunately, Landman chose to go back to school which means the Rams have a shot to get both in back-to-back years.

After that, it’s all about Matthew Stafford.

Rondale Moore for sure I undervalued in my last draft and might have improved his draft stock into the late 3rd-4th round. While I could’ve gone him again in a higher draft spot I decided to go Nico Collins. It mixes up the draft and Stafford loves that style of the receiver.

For the later picks, Les Snead won’t prioritize what I did with a kick returner and fullback. It doesn’t fit what McVay wants as it’s more of what I personally wanted to see.

Snead however does have a history of taking backs with low picks or undrafted free agents such as John Kelly or Malcolm Brown. Snead also has a history of developmental tight ends with Temarrick Hemingway. With that in mind, Rhamondre Stevenson and Zaire Mitchell make more sense with Les Snead’s drafting history.
