Let’s harvest the cornerback bumper crop of this draft class

Of course, there are plenty of cornerbacks in this draft class who may not hear their names called. Of the 2021 NFL Draft class, there are as many as 90 cornerbacks in this draft class who could be added to NFL teams during or after the draft. The problem? There is little consensus among the top draft analysts this year.

The Rams have met with Oregon cornerback Thomas Graham. Per his NFL.com draft profile, he could be selected in round seven of the 2021 NFL Draft. Per his Pro Football Network draft profile, he is a likely fourth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.  And per his Draft Network profile, he is a likely fifth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The needs of the team are such that I would expect the Rams to draft a cornerback on day two of the draft, perhaps again on day three of the draft, and then and at least two more cornerbacks to the roster after the 2021 NFL Draft ends.

The LA Rams will need to have an ample supply for the secondary.  Even as the Rams prepare to enter the 2021 NFL Draft, the team knows that the Rams will face the NFC North and the AFC East this year. Those NFL divisions have or are loading up to feature strong passing games in the 2021 season. So it only makes sense for the Rams to be prepared to defend the pass as well as they can.
