The first prospect to take a look at is the cornerback from San Diego State, Darren Hall (5.92-grade per NFL.com).  His score currently projects him on or about the fifth-round of the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. Even with the day three grade, he was one of the first prospects who had reportedly met with the LA Rams in early March 2021.

Let’s be clear. There is almost no chance of a consensus for any prospect who falls outside of the top 30 or so. Case in point?  Darren Hall is assessed with a round-five grade by the NFL.com draft board, with a round-seven grade by PFF.com, and does not even make the draft board for The Draft Network. So how can anyone objectively assess him?

Well, when we first introduced Darren Hall, we talked about his size at 6-foot-0 and 190-pounds and his strength, alluding to his physical style of play.

He delivered textbook-perfect coverage during the Senior Bowl practice week, which helped his stock shoot up on the draft boards of many teams. In 32 college games, Hall was very productive. He recorded 134 tackles, 3.5 quarterback sacks, 8.5 tackles for a loss, and six interceptions. One interception was in fact a pick-six. Considered one of the best defensive players from the MWC in this draft class, he certainly is on the shopping list of a number of teams.
