Another NFL talk show is praising the LA Rams. This time, it’s the ESPN GetUp crew, and they recorded an LA Rams hype fest after the Rams defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the handy score of 34-24. Was it a good win? Yes. Was it an impressive win? Yes. But it was only one win.

Now I’m not one to try to ruin anyone’s celebratory mood after what was, in our own perspective, one of the best team efforts to result in a win by the Rams in many games. While the Rams went out and defeated a team that had not lost a game in ten previous contests, they did so at a rather comfortable pace.  This game felt like a win before halftime, an unusually calm and satisfying feeling, particularly when playing against the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The crew consisted of Dan Orlovsky, Mike Greenburg, Rex Ryan, and Jalen Rose, and they discussed the LA Rams Week 3 victory.  Rex Ryan stated that the LA Rams are the ‘best team in the NFL”.  Hmmm.  Where did we just hear that?  Dan Orlovsky thinks that Matthew Stafford is the NFL MVP right now.  Okay, we are guilty of saying that Matthew Stafford should be mentioned in the NFL MVP discussions.

I’m just not convinced that one game, or even three games, is enough to seal the deal for either the NFL MVP or the NFL’s best team.

I’d like to think that when it comes to these LA Rams, that the best is yet to come. That this team is not becoming so good so quickly that by the time the NFL playoffs roll around, it will be old hat to win a game.

The ESPN Get Up crew loves the new and improved LA Rams. I’m just not sure how I feel about the LA Rams getting all that love from them this early in the season.
