With the 236th pick

of the 2022 NFL Draft, the LA Rams select D’Marco Jackson, inside linebacker, from Appalachian State

This pick may be the most considerable liberty taken in the entire mock draft, but this could also be how the draft plays out in real life.

D’Marco Jackson defines “if you’re going to make a mistake, making it going 100 mph” because that is how he plays football. It’s not always pretty, but when it is effective, it is highly effective.

Players can beat him in coverage or strength, yet he uses his energy and effort to find a way back into the play. D’Marco Jackson’s numbers before 2021 do not jump off the page, but the 2021 stats deliver.

The lack of power and his success at a smaller school could hurt his draft stock, but his performance at the Senior Bowl may rectify that concern.

The tackling ability Jackson showed at the Senior Bowl will increase his draft position, but the NFL combine will significantly affect his draft stock.

If his speed on tape shows up at the combine and his other measurable are not horrible, he could shoot up draft boards. Jackson could slide back to the Rams if he has a poor or less than stellar NFL combine performance.

Watching him play in a Raheem Morris defense or on special teams could be quite the sight in 2022.
