The Los Angeles Rams will certainly have their hands full in Week 1. As if hosting the San Francisco 49ers was not challenging enough, LA must pretend to be the home team despite playing the game in Melbourne, Australia. In addition, rather than hold all games within the confines of Sunday and Monday, the schedule kicks off on Wednesday. The Rams play on Thursday.

That means havoc for fantasy football owners who must decide who to roster.

Well, we're here to help make those pressure-packed decisions. Without previous performances or rankings, fantasy managers are taking a stab in the dark. Nothing is more demoralizing than having a big game from a player on the bench. Here are three Rams who should start in Week 1 if available.

Running back Blake Corum

In two games against the 49ers last season, Corum carried 14 times for 69 yards. En route to a career year, he only got stronger as the season wore on. And you can bet that traveling 17 hours to play a game in Australia will speed up LA's rotations. Kyren Williams will get the start, but Corum will get plenty of work.

Expect both Rams backs to grind out tough yards in a game that will be as much about durability and resilience as it is about speed and power. The explosive Corum will keep the 49ers off balance and could be a first-touchdown candidate.

Rams defense/special teams (Myles Garrett)

First impressions are the longest-lasting. Myles Garrett will have no problem getting motivated to face the 49ers. He wants to prove his worth, and he'll get his chance in this one.

San Francisco will test Garrett by running at him, passing around him, and sending double-teams to negate his dangerous pass rush. But Garrett has seen it before and will thwart the Niners' attempts to put him on an island. Look for Garrett to embarrass the Burgundy and Gold in Melbourne.

Recording multiple sacks and forcing a turnover would be a nice start to his Rams career.

Wide receiver Davante Adams

Adams' red-zone production is reason enough to start him on every fantasy roster. Against the 49ers last season, he hauled in 11 of 18 targets 165 yards and a touchdown. Despite a large gap in season-long contributions, Adams was targeted as often in those games as teammate Puka Nacua, who put up 149 yards and two touchdowns. Sean McVay could see him as a way to exploit San Francisco's secondary once again.

Adams and quarterback Matthew Stafford have spent the summer refining their chemistry. That means Adams will not only continue to be targeted, but he will do far more damage. Look for him to find the end zone against the 49ers.

As always, thanks for reading.
