When it comes to the early reviews of the Los Angeles Rams and the first week of roster moves for 2025, I've witnessed overwhelmingly positive responses on social media, comments, and fan forums. I'm not suggesting that the team is done. The opposite is true. But reforming the Rams roster for a new season starts with building a rock-solid foundation, and the team certainly appears to have accomplished that much.
The Rams are not limited to creating a positive buzz among fans. NFL experts and analysts are very impressed with the team's early moves.
Per the Rich Eisen Show, the Rams are putting themselves into position to challenge the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Eisen loves the fact that the team successfully brought back veteran QB Matthew Stafford. And he is even more impressed that the Rams pulled a minor coup by landing veteran WR Davante Adams. In this video, he breaks down how Devanta Adams has not played in an offense with someone as talented as Puka Nacua.

But he is not the only one.
Pro Football Focus loves what the Rams have done in free agency. They have given the team a grade that places it among the Top-5 grades assigned in the offseason so far.

How can they be so positive about the Rams this early? Here are more details about their views on the Rams free agency moves so far:

Of course, this is all based on Rams free agency signings so far. That adds a bias to favor teams that jump into a new free agency market with sacks full of cash and make early signings. Unfortunately, we all know that it's not the first team that wins Super Bowls, but the healthiest teams.
We have begun to scan the Rams depth chart, starting with the wide receiver room. Even after losing three key contributors and two of those as starters, the receivers seem very dangerous and not nearly s depleted as feared.
Perhaps even more promising is the state of the Rams depth chart for the defensive line. New NT Poona Ford really seems to anchor a very talented young defensive front. If he can handle the lion's share of defensive snaps in 2025, the Rams rush defense may be far better than expected.
GM Les Snead likely has more roster moves in him before a very important 2025 NFL Draft. And even after the draft, the Rams have a solid track record of finding key contributors among the undrafted rookies who sign on to round out the roster.
Early impressions are simply that: Early impressions. But the Rams seem to be making positive strides already. Let's hope it all continues through the 2025 NFL season.
