The Los Angeles Rams played much of Week 6 and all of Week 7 without the benefit of elite wide receiver Puka Nacua. So it's only natural for fans and fantasy football owners to be concerned over his status as the team emerges from its Week 8 BYE to host the New Orleans Saints. While the game is viewed as a lopsided contest in LA's faver, Nacua's return is vital to ensure the offense remains on track.

It's almost a certainty that the former Brigham Young University receiver is playing this week. That's great news for Nacua, but also for his quarterback, Matthew Stafford. It's not small coincidence that Stafford has been incredibly successful this season, as he is connecting with Nacua at better than an 80 percent clip

Despite missing nearly two games, the third-year receiver continues to lead the team in receiving yards. In fact, he has contributed nearly a third of the team's entire aerial assault this season. So when he was out, the entire offensive strategy had to be rerouted with the help of tight ends.

Puka Nacua is a full go for Week 9, or is he?

While Nacua is back to a full participant, will he immediately return to his incredibly heavy workload in this offense? It could be a perfect opportunity to retain some of the Week 7 concepts, and continue to go with a larger frequency of 12 and 13 personnel packages against the New Orleans Saints.

Nacua Is averaging over 100 receiving yards for six games. Right now, he is on track to break the NFL single-season receptions mark. With a hot streak, he may even flirt with setting the single-season receiving yards record. But that may be a bit myopic.

Nacua gives defenses fits. He seems to instinctively find the soft spots in secondaries, and Stafford never fails to find him as he creates separation. So why burn through him against the Saints, when he is vital to postseason success?

The team welcomes back its top receiver, but with so many untapped offensive weapons waiting in the wings for opportunities to contribute, he may be given a light workload. Keep rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson on your radar for Week 9. And as always, thanks for reading.
