The Los Angeles Rams are no surprise to have gotten this far. As soon as the team improved to 7-2, whispers about a possible Super Bowl run were no longer whispers. Many things can and did happen along the way. But here we are, with only two more wins standing between Los Angeles and a second Lombardi Trophy.
The tension is so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
And so, fans seek reassurances. What do the experts think? Many are fully immersed in a belief that the Seattle Seahawks will win and compete in the Super Bowl. Fortunately, not all NFL experts hold that thought.
Former NFL coach Jon Gruden is one who is going with the Rams. After all, Los Angeles matches up incredibly well with Seattle.
Whether or not you personally like Gruden is your personal preference. But he is as knowledgeable as they come when it comes to the NFL. He has a discerning eye for talent when it comes to sizing up rookie quarterback prospects. And he knows what it takes to win an NFL championship conference game.
Los Angeles Rams are a team on a mission
While many can and have argued that the Seattle Seahawks have worked hard to restore the reputation of the team and of journeyman quarterback Sam Darnold, this is their first season of postseason competition under head coach Mike Macdonald. And sometimes, experience matters.
The LA Rams are a team bursting with young talent. But you needn't dig too far to discover that quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Davante Adams, and tight end Tyler Higbee are just three examples of players who have been here before.
There are bright lights, a big stage, and an enormous amount of pressure on every player during every play. It's the players who have been here before that handle the scrutiny best. And that means the Horns have the advantage, despite their third consecutive game on the road.
Sure, Gruden is making a SWAG (scientific wild ar$ed guess) here, but he is doing so from knowing the NFL, its coaches, and its players. And fans hope he's right.
As always, thanks for reading.
