This is not the season LA Rams fans had envisioned. But, it's what happens when your team is victim of such devastating injuries to begin the year.

At 1-4, the Rams have done what they can with what they have. Losing so many players, especially on offense and specifically on the line and at wide receiver, L.A. was put in a tough position early on this season. That's just how the dominoes fell.

Now, as the league prepares for the November 5 trade deadline, the Rams are looking like a team to watch in the coming weeks. If they were to drop to 1-5 or 2-6 in the coming weeks, the possibility of this team being sellers becomes very real.

It's becoming so real, in fact, that one NFL insider recently threw out a Cooper Kupp trade idea that, sadly, made some sense. So, if Kupp were to actually get dealt, where would he go?

Top trade destinations for Cooper Kupp prior to the 2024 NFL trade deadline

Kansas City Chiefs

Insert the Chiefs into every wide receiver trade speculation column ever, or at least until they make a move ... if they make a move. Obviously, being without Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown for the year is not ideal. Is JuJu Smith-Schuster really going to be the answer? We'll find out.

If you gave Patrick Mahomes the gift of throwing to Kupp for the remainder of the season, there would be 31 other fan bases all but ready to riot. We've already seen Mahomes do it without a true number one wide receiver, but if the Chiefs wanted to cement their quest for a three-peat, Kupp would certainly be the icing on the cake.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are probably the biggest team to watch for another wide receiver move prior to the deadline. They were in on Davante Adams, and now that both he and Amari Cooper are off the table, Pittsburgh needs to make something happen.

Whether it's Justin Fields or Russell Wilson, this offense needs another weapon to throw to. George Pickens has some issues of his own, regardless of talent, and the Steelers can't count on Van Jefferson or Calvin Austin being integral parts going forward.

Washington Commanders

We know the problems in Washington lie on the other side of the ball, obviously. The Commanders need to add some help defensively, but don't forget, they were also rumored to be in on the Brandon Aiyuk trade saga. That would have been a massive move for Washington.

Leading the NFC East, currently, and also watching Jayden Daniels blossom as a rookie, the Commanders could go all-in on their current roster by dealing for Kupp. It might seem crazy, right now, but don't rule them out on being aggressive at the deadline. They've already surprised the NFL world by being relevant; what's another surprise?
