NFL schedule leak gives LA Rams fans plenty to be thankful over in 2025

As we await the 2025 NFL schedule for the Los Angeles Rams, it seems that the NFL has been dropping hints and rumors about many NFL teams. But so far, the Rams have remained out of the spotlight. The only NFL rumors involving the Rams' schedule were confirmed by the team on May 13, 2025. The Rams will travel to London, England, in Week 7 to face the host Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.

But as plenty of NFL schedule leaks swell the grids of other NFL teams with up to four games, the Rams remain in the dark for the most part.

Well, until now, that is. Another unconfirmed NFL rumor has been reported, linking the Los Angeles Rams to hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football on November 27, 2025. That is Week 13, and it falls on Thanksgiving Day. Best of all, the game will be held on Thanksgiving Night:

While awaiting confirmation, this is a huge advantage for the Rams for several reasons. This game is played at SoFi Stadium, and the Rams get the natural advantage of familiarity with the football field on a short week of preparation.

Of course, the great thing about any Thursday Night Football is the fact that the team gets a mini-bye worth of rest afterwards. The Rams will likely have a 10-day rest period after this game to rest and heal up before facing their next opponent. With a Week 13 TNF game on the schedule, that bodes incredibly well for the team as it tries to make another playoff run

There is also the fact that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the more accomplished teams on the Rams' schedule in 2025. Hosting them on Thursday Night Football on a short week forces them to travel across the country and compete on a short week at SoFi Stadium. That gives the Rams a huge advantage, which we will discuss more fully later this week.

Perhaps the best news is how the scant details known about the 2025 Rams schedule seem to be aligning in the team's favor. The Rams may be playing in London, England, but that places the game in neutral territory, rather than home-field advantage for the Jacksonville Jaguars. And it almost certainly means that the Rams will enjoy the benefit of a Week 8 BYE.

With a Week 13 game played on TNF, the Rams will get a mini-bye before taking on their final four games of the season. It seems quite appropriate that the Rams get a break in their schedule. After all, the Rams must travel three to four times further this season than other NFL teams. It is only fitting that the Rams get to host a tough opponent on a short week.
