Rams finish 2023 with a winning record? Another positive prognosticator says yes.

The LA Rams have a lot of growing up to do. That's not facetious or trolling, it's simply the facts for this Rams roster that is comprised primarily of rookies. Imagine an NCAA college football team whose roster was 50 percent freshmen, and you begin to see the challenge of this Rams team this year.

But the great thing about challenges or adversity to true competitors, it serves to sharpen their skillsets, their awareness, and their motivation to be better. That has to happen for the LA Rams roster this year, and happen quickly. After all, four of the Rams first five opponents competed in the NFL Playoffs a year ago.

That sets the stage for the Rams to shock the NFL this season. After all, if the Rams win a couple of games early against stiff competition, how can they not be mentioned in discussions for an NFL Playoff berth? After all, to be the man, you've got to beat the man, and the Rams schedule has this team facing the Seattle Seahawks (road), San Francisco 49ers (home), Cincinnati Bengals (there), Indianapolis Colts (there), and the defending NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles (here).

Even if the Rams emerge with two wins in the first five games, that has to be viewed as a victory. But there are some that would not be surprised if the Rams do well this season. And the impressive part of that is the fact that they are taking a look at the NFL at large. They are putting their reputation on the line in the act of viewing the Rams schedule in such a positive light. Such as?

CBS Sports Will Brinson predicts these LA Rams could finish the season with a 9-8 record, possibly positioning the team for the NFL Playoffs as well. That is in addition to NFL Insider Rich Eisen predicting this LA Rams team to make the playoffs this year.

If you are of the opinion that the LA Rams are tanking in 2023 to claim the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, you may want to temper those expectations. The LA Rams could be drafting among the Top 10 teams in 2024, or they could shock everyone and be selecting among the bottom 10 teams in the next draft. It will all come down to winning now, or winning later. Just keep in mind one thing. No matter what the rhetoric, if if comes right down to it, Rams HC Sean McVay is going to win now, no matter what the cost.
