Another week rolled by so quickly? That's life in the fast lane as soon as the NFL season arrives, and the LA Rams are already to go in Week 2 to face the Arizona Cardinals on the road in their first NFC West Divisional game. Both teams are looking for their first wins of the 2024 NFL season, as well as trying to avoid ending up in the division basement after just two games of regular season play.

The Rams ar limping into State Farms Stadium to take on the Arizona Cardinals with a new offensive line configuration. After a sound battering in Week 1, the team was forced to place IOL Steve Avila on IR. But the good news is that starting veteran right tackle will make his 2024 NFL season debut in Week 2.

The Rams had outstanding success in 2023 on the legs of running back Kyren Williams. Williams averaged over 150 yards per game against the Cardinals last season, so you can expect him to get plenty of touches in this one.

The Cardinals will want to get rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. on track in Week 2, even though starting quarterback Kyler Murray is already tossing coaches under the bus. With any luck, the Rams' defense can add fuel to the dysfunctional Cardinals' offense in this game.

Announcers for Rams vs. Cardinals

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Adam Amin
  • Color Commentator: Mark Sanchez
  • Sideline Reporter: Kristina Pink

This is the second game for the Fox Sports crew led by Adam Amin. In Week 1, they called the Tennessee Titans vs. Chicago Bears game. In that game, the Titans held a commanding lead in the first half, but it was all Bears in the second half to seal a come-from-behind victory.

This game is the first of two meetings between the two teams and is a series that the Rams have dominated rather handily in the past. But the Rams are not exactly at full strength in Week 2, and that could be just enough of a thumb on the scales to tip this one in the Cardinals' favor.

The LA Rams need to get back on track in Week 2. A loss this week will drop the team to 0-2, with the San Francisco 49ers arriving in Week 3, and more than happy to extend the team's winless streak. But the Rams have reason to be optimistic. The team remained quite competitive in a Week 1 loss, despite being short-handed against an NFC powerhouse. And the team has been working feverishly to regroup for this one.

The team needs a win, and I can see the team getting one this week. Stay tuned.

And as always, thanks for reading.
