NFL schedule-makers love the Los Angeles Rams. In 2026, the Horns will appear in a record-tying seven prime-time games, starting Week 1 in Australia against the 49ers. In the wake of Myles Garrett's arrival in LA, the league must love them even more. Viewership numbers might blow a gasket.Â
Garrett himself should be thrilled. Not only does he join a Super Bowl contender for the first time in his life, he will get to showcase his superhuman talent on the big stage. After playing in six prime-time games over the last four years in Cleveland, Garrett just has to stay healthy to exceed that mark in Year 1 with the Rams:
Fun fact: New Rams star Myles Garrett will play more prime-time games this season (7) than he's played in the last 4 seasons combined (6).

This is the spotlight he always deserved. You can bet he will only shine brighter in Los Angeles.
Rams give Garrett a platform he never had in Cleveland
Garrett is fresh off setting the single-season record with 23 sacks. Sadly, he was the only reason to watch the Browns last year. And even he wasn't reason enough for the casual fan to tune in. That miserable offense was a chore to watch.Â
That's how it has been for Garrett through his career. His rookie year happened to be Cleveland's infamous 0-16 campaign, an honor shared only by the Lions. While Garrett has piled up All-Pro berths and Pro Bowls, the Browns have piled up losses.Â
Even with Garrett destroying opposing quarterbacks, Cleveland made the playoffs just twice in his nine-year tenure. That is an appalling waste of a Hall of Fame talent.Â
With the Rams, Garrett will finally have the chance to play meaningful games. There will be more to watch for than whether he breaks his own sack record.Â
He'll have help on both sides of the ball. Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, and a slew of standout safeties will patrol a much-improved secondary, creating the occasional coverage sack to top off Garrett's Herculean contributions. Byron Young, Kobie, Turner, Braden Fiske, and Poona Ford will bear down alongside him on the defensive front.Â
The offense should once again be among the best in the league. Matthew Stafford is coming off a 46-touchdown MVP campaign. And ahead of this season, he doesn't have a bad back to deal with. Receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams are, if not the NFL's most productive duo, right up there close to it.
Sean McVay is the head coach. Les Snead is general manager. Chris Shula is Garrett's new defensive coordinator. Garrett is living the good life now.
He went from a franchise that has won eight games since 2024 to the clear-cut Super Bowl favorite. On top of that, even his regular-season games will be propped up on the big stage, in the bright lights. This is how it should be.
