The Los Angeles Rams have already signaled the retooling of their offensive structure by moving forward with a trade of wide receiver Cooper Kupp. While still effective, Kupp's decline and the emergence of Puka Nacua made the former Eastern Washington All-Pro a player LA feels comfortable parting ways with.
The Rams are placing a great deal of trust in Les Snead, who has established himself as one of the best drafters and executives in the league, to restock their offense without Kupp while also saving enough capital to improve upon a very young defense that needs a few more stars to compete.
The Rams would be wise to follow this 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft plan of attack if they trade Kupp. Snead has set LA up for success in the last few years with some shrewd drafting after parting ways with expensive veterans, and he could replicate those magical drafts once more.
Los Angeles Rams 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 23: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The consensus top three wide receivers in what has become a somewhat substandard class are Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, Missouri's Luther Burden III, and Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka. Golden has had a metioric rise through the ranks this season, leapfrogging teammate Isaiah Bond and entering the Round 1 discussion.
Golden may not be the most physical receiver, especially when he doesn't separate, but he does possess tremendous long speed and craftiness at the line of scrimmage. Golden's speed will add another vertical element to this Rams offense that Kupp didn't provide.
Round 3, Pick 90: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
Ewers has seen his stock fall this season due to some maddening inconsistency and concerns about his overall arm talent. Still the former No. 1 recruit has plenty of traits worth developing, and there is no better quarterback guru to learn from than Sean McVay.
Ewers has shown to be an accurate quarterback who can process quickly in the pocket and make Stafford-esque throws from unusual arm angles. In an offense like that of McVay, Ewers can sit back and learn while using his natural gifts as a passer to distribute the ball effectively.
Round 3, Pick 100: Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville
Riley was one of many Day 3 prospects who bumped his stock up to the Day 2 range with a strong showing at the Senior Bowl. After remaking the Rams' defensive line last draft by taking Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, Snead can help remake the secondary by adding Riley.
Riley is a turnover producer with an aggressive mindset in man coverage and some impressive short-area quickness and athletic ability. The Rams have had success turning players who lack great long speed into terrific cornerbacks, and Riley could be their next great developmental success story.
