Les Snead might keep his job with the Los Angeles Rams after all.

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead staying with the team beyond 2016 seemed improbable after Jeff Fisher was fired, but it’s growing more and more apparent that Snead may keep his job.

There have been a few signs so far to show this.

The first being the report that Snead was assisting the Rams in finding a new head coach, which would be kind of bizarre if he was definitely on his way out the door.

Now we’ve learned that Snead may remain in his position as long as the next Rams head coach wants to keep him around.

USA Today Sports’ Tom Pelissero shared this:

Snead came aboard with Fisher in 2012, so the two have always been connected at the hip. It was assumed that once Fisher was gone, Snead would follow, but he has managed to remain as the team’s general manager for the time being.

While we don’t know for sure how much of a say Snead had in the many failed personnel decisions over the past four-plus seasons, it was thought Fisher’s word was the final one. If that was truly the case, perhaps Snead is safe so long as it doesn’t affect the head coach search.

Snead is certainly not a favorite of Rams fans and the general consensus is he should be gone. Now it appears it’ll be up to the next head coach of this team.
