Dan Feeney could be on the radar for the Los Angeles Rams when the 2017 NFL Draft gets underway next week.

After a successful start to free agency, the Los Angeles Rams hope to continue that trend next week when the 2017 NFL Draft begins, even if the team doesn’t make their first selection until the second round at No. 37. While the Rams have been linked to numerous players over the last few weeks, another name to keep an eye on heading into next week could be Indiana’s Dan Feeney.

Along with the San Francisco 49ers, the Hoosiers offensive lineman will be meeting with the Rams this week, as Feeney seems capable of helping fill a need for the team in the upcoming draft. Los Angeles already made a big splash in free agency with the signing of Andrew Whitworth, but the addition of a player like Feeney after seeing his successful career at Indiana could benefit the offense even more.

One of the top priorities surrounding the Rams heading into the offseason was doing whatever was necessary to improve the offensive line after seeing the struggles of Jared Goff during his rookie season. Los Angeles already sacrificed their first-round pick from this year’s draft to the Tennessee Titans in order to land Goff in last year’s draft, and unless they provide the former California star with the necessary protection, he’s never going to hit his true potential.

While the Rams have a few different positions to focus on in next week’s draft, early signs point to the offensive line and wide receiver being most important for Sean McVay‘s squad. Only time will tell whether one of those players selected to improve the offensive line ends up being Feeney, but here’s to hoping this week’s meeting at least goes well enough for Los Angeles to consider the possibility.
