Janoris Jenkins Turns Down Five-Year, $45 Million Dollar Deal From LA Rams

Who doesn’t love a little drama? The Los Angeles Rams are making it a priority to return both cornerbacks this season, but they may have to wait a little longer to negotiate with one of them now. According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, Janoris Jenkins has fired his agent. The Rams have been in talks with Jenkins for the past week,  and actually made a five-year offer but was rejected.

Because of the recent firing of his agent, Jenkins cannot hire a new agent for at least five days. During those five days the Rams cannot negotiate with Jenkins, which could be bad if the Rams were anywhere near close to signing Jenkins to a new deal. With the drama via Twitter, his ego on and off the field, will the Rams be able to sign Jenkins before the start of free agency?

Senior Analyst for The Huddle Report com. Drew Boylhart also got news that Jenkins will be in touch with the same representation that negotiated Darrelle Revis’ contract. Remember Revis hit free agency awhile back ago and got the money he deserved. Reporter Jason Cole reports free agent CB Janoris Jenkins recently rejected a five-year, $45 million offer from the Los Angeles Rams. This is going to be interesting.

Is Janoris Jenkins asking too much from the Rams? Clearly he still thinks he is the Rams number one cornerback, but Trumaine Johnson looks to be the future at the cornerback spot. 5 year NFL cornerback and Super Bowl 56 winner Brian Witherspoon expressed his own views on the rejected offer.

This is the worst of news to come for the Rams, and Jenkins may be thinking else where for a new team in 2016. Stay tuned for more information on Janoris Jenkins and the Los Angeles Rams contract talks.
