At 6’-2” and 194 pounds, Reynolds turned in a 40 yard dash time of 4.52 at the NFL Combine. As far as upside/downside, it’s typically of the hodgepodge you often find on day three of the draft. But Los Angeles is weaving together an offensive philosophy not seen with the Rams in far too long.
As for impact, Reynolds will have his opportunities. While he can deliver the spectacular, he can also disappear on the garden variety play. He’ll also need to improve his blocking, as that was something of a rare requirement at A&M due to a run-pass-option.
But if this the pattern and template for the Rams holds true, the days of Todd Gurley being the one time face of this franchise has expired. Before long, Goff will need to be “the guy” In Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is certainly drafting to give him every opportunity to be the franchise quarterback they hoped for at last year’s draft.
