As previously noted, it’s highly likely the Rams address defense if they pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Yes LA went heavy on defense in free agency during this last offseason, but the jury is definitely out on how good or not so good those acquisitions have been. Take Marcus Peters, who has shown flashes, but who also bring a f***-it kind of attitude to his game.

Hey if you dig that Rams fan, think of how easy it was for the 5-1 Kansas City Chiefs to cut bait on him.

But that aside, cultivating youth or at the very least some options on the depth chart on the defensive side of the ball isn’t a bad idea, no matter how good the veteran guy looks on paper.

Enter one Amani Oruwariye, cornerback from Penn State.

Oruwariye is a 6’-1” corner who weighs in at 203 lbs. As a senior on the Nittany Lions, he’s already earned his degree, and has seen a ranking of No. 7 in the FBS with 1.8 passes defended per game, and a No. 8 ranking in the Big Ten and No. 37 in the FBS with two interceptions.

Again, if the Los Angeles Rams are looking to create some options, Oruwariye might be a player to take a look at.
