When the Los Angeles Rams line up in the Coliseum against their NFC West rival in the Seattle Seahawks, expect a game that may define the season for the team from the Pacific Northwest.

Maybe also for the team to the south.

After a bad defensive showing in New Orleans, Los Angeles will want to get back on track especially in the defensive backfield.

It runs deeper.

They miss Aqib Talib, Ndamukong Suh has been something of a no-show, and Marcus Peters is a disaster. If not for Aaron Donald, it’s a crap shoot as to where this team could be.

THAT SAID…..,
The Rams can begin to rehabilitate the D in Week 10. Russell Wilson is still the the best weapon the Seahawks can deploy, and after a loss against the Saints, LA will want to re-establish some kind of defensive identity.

Any kind of presence on defense is good, frankly.

Wilson is still good enough to inflict some misery on the Los Angeles defense, and they played them tough in the first go-around this season, so expect a game where the Seahawks look to throw against a puppet secondary that is the Rams.

As bad as Seattle needs this game, so does LA. Sure, at 8-1 giving up another loss isn’t a death sentence. But it would show the Rams more of a paper tiger than they actually are. Make no mistake, Los Angeles needs a big bounce back in the Coliseum.
