2. Gurley, Donald look to continue MVP cases

When looking at the talent Los Angeles has to work with on both sides of the football, it was easy to make a case for this team being a top Super Bowl contender at the beginning of the season, especially with Gurley and Aaron Donald part of the mix. While Gurley will be looking to increase his touchdown streak on Monday to 14 games dating back to last season, Donald is playing with house money at this point since he’s already set a new career high in sack totals (12.5).

Rams fans are well aware of the ridiculous numbers Gurley has been putting together for a second year in a row, but also Donald deserves plenty of credit when looking at all of the criticism he received early on in 2018. After holding out for all of training camp and preseason, Donald finally received the hefty contract he was battling for since 2017, making him the highest-paid defensive player at the time before Khalil Mack earned a new deal shortly after.

Seeing how Donald has recorded all 12.5 sacks over the last seven games shows just how special of a player he truly is, there’s nothing the Rams would love more than to see him continue to add to that total with plenty of pressure on Mahomes. Between these two superstars, Los Angeles will need all of the extra effort they can get to put the team in the best position possible to take down Kansas City.
