It’s worth noting how great a job the Bears did of shackling Goff and the Rams offense, but in a league quarterback driven and offensive centric, what happened in Chicago was particularly impressive.

Goff, who looked unsteady in Detroit, managed a quarterback rating of only 19.1 on Sunday night, and it all but made a unicorn of running back Todd Gurley who had 11 carries for a whopping 28 yards. The Bears defense made the LA offense look lost and cold, and with the addition of four interceptions, it also showed that while the Rams are still a very good 11-2, teams will look to do what Chicago did in Week 14.

That may be easier said than done.

The Bears showed that pressure will rattle and shake Goff. If the trigger man for McVay’s offense can’t pull the trigger with any kind of accuracy, Los Angeles won’t be long for the postseason. In the NFC, the Cowboys already showed how to deal with the Saints when they effectively shut down Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense.

The good news, if you want to call it that, is that the Rams won’t see such a defense in their last three games.

The bad news is that won’t be the case come the playoffs.
