One interesting reality as you look at the playoff teams is that no one looks absolutely unbeatable. The Los Angeles Rams played six of the eight teams in the playoffs, two on the AFC side and four on the NFC, as well as playing NFC West rival the Seattle Seahawks twice. All that said, they did manage to lose to the Chicago Bears 15-6 on the road and the New Orleans Saints 45-35 also on the road. The also lost to the Eagles 30-23 in the Coliseum.

On the AFC side, the Rams beat both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. While the Philadelphia Eagles did beat LA at home, the Rams managed to win all their other games in the Coliseum and their record playing in the western time zones is 12-1.

That said if chalk holds, the Rams would have to venture away from the comforts of the accommodating time zones to play the top seed of the NFC. It is worth noting that when playing the top seeds, they are 1-1 having lost to the Saints and having beaten the Chiefs. The 10 point loss to New Orleans is a game where they were actually in the game late if not for some bad defensive play.

While both top seeds in the NFC and AFC are capable of putting up 30 or 40 points in any game, so to are the Rams. Meaning again that if chalk holds, a conference championship game or Super Bowl would present pretty good odds for Los Angeles.
