1. Gurley, Anderson new dynamic duo

After Todd Gurley was dealing with knee inflammation following a tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15, the Rams made the decision to sign C.J. Anderson as an insurance policy.

More from Ramblin' Fan

At the time, there were mixed reactions over the decision to sign the veteran running back, mainly because some fans were hoping to see John Kelly take on an increased role after seeing the rookie’s impact during the preseason.

Turns out, Anderson was the best decision Los Angeles could have made a few weeks ago when looking at how big he’s been on offense not just towards the end of the regular season, but the playoffs as well.

It was one thing for Anderson to rush for 299 yards with two scores in Week 16 and 17 for the Rams, but watching him earn his third straight 100-yard rushing game against a tough defense in the Cowboys shows just how big of a pick up this was.

Along with Anderson’s 123 rushing yards and two scores, Gurley finished with 115 rushing yards with a touchdown as well to give the Rams two running backs over 100 rushing yards in a playoff game for the first time in franchise history.

Don’t look now, but this offense for Los Angeles seems like it just became even more dangerous with this new duo at running back in Gurley and Anderson if Saturday’s game is any indication of what to expect moving forward.
