3. Strong performance by defense went to waste

As mentioned before, one would think a Super Bowl in which Brady fails to toss a single touchdown pass would result in the Patriots coming out on the losing end, but unfortunately that was far from the case.

Without question, the Rams’ defense deserves all of the credit in the world for holding a talented team like the Patriots to scoring just 13 points on the NFL’s biggest stage since this seems nearly impossible most the team.

If only the offense could have come through on their end since scoring a couple touchdowns could have resulted in a win for Los Angeles, the outcome of this one could been much different.

Keeping Julian Edelman in check was an issue all game after the Patriots wideout won MVP thanks to a stellar performance consisting of 10 catches for 141 yards, but also the whole 13 points scored was quite impressive.

Still, one can only imagine how frustrated some of the defenders on the Rams are feeling after this one knowing they came through on their end when needed the most, only to watch the offense fail to do their job.

After all the struggles during the regular season, who would have though the defense of all units for Los Angeles would be one of the few positive factors during the Super Bowl?
