2. What on earth is going on with Gurley?

While there were plenty of frustrating factors behind the loss of the Rams to the Patriots, nothing will stand out more than Todd Gurley finishing with another frustrating performance.

More from Ramblin' Fan

Two weeks after displaying one of the worst games of his career by only receiving four carries for 10 yards with a touchdown in the NFC Championship, Gurley only saw 10 carries for 35 yards in the Super Bowl.

Normally with a workhorse of a running back like Gurley, McVay should have done whatever it took to make sure his star running back saw anywhere from 20-30 carries since it seemed necessary in a big game like the Super Bowl against the Patriots.

Ever since the NFC Championship, there was plenty of speculation regarding whether Gurley’s knee was still an issue, and while the team continued to deny this wasn’t the case, there haven’t been any convincing answers that seem believable.

To watch a Pro Bowl running back with 40 total trips into the end zone over the previous two seasons only see 14 carries combined in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl is completely unacceptable, unless the knee really was bothering him.

Until fans receive some sort of answers that make sense, the disappointment surrounding Gurley is going to be discussed most of the offseason.
