Prime prime-time

So let’s discuss the Rams prime-time bonanza.

The LA Rams have three prime time games at home, no doubt the NFL’s attempt to promote the new gold standard of football stadiums to the national football audience, none other than SoFi Stadium.  The first of the home field prime-time games is the season opener on September 13 at 5:20 pm PT against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the Rams opening at home as the underdogs, this is a game that the team must and will win.

The second primetime game will play on week six, Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 5:20 pm PT on the road and against the defending NFC West champion San Francisco 49ers.  While many expect the 49ers to repeat the sweep of 2019, the Rams once more claim revenge against last season’s loss with a stout defensive performance on the road. Rams get the win.

The following week, the LA Rams are back home to face the Chicago Bears for their first Monday Night contest scheduled for October 26, 2020, at 5:15 pm PT. While the Chicago Bears may surprise some teams in the last half of the season, their offense will not be ready for the Rams’ new-and-improved defense.  We’ll analyze more later, but the Rams enjoy their home-field advantage in this game with a W.
