LA Rams game day primer: Weather forecast – smoke gets in their eye?
By Bret Stuter
As fires burn throughout California, the LA Rams game day weather forecast could be smokey. Will that smoke play an impact on the game?
The LA Rams’ new home field, located at the ultra-impressive SoFi Stadium is located in Inglewood, California. The weather forecast for the area is like an 8-track tape. Over the next seven days, including football Sunday, the weather will be almost identical to the previous day’s weather.
The temperature ranges will be in a tight range over the next seven days., from 78 degrees to 86 degrees. The forecast also calls for steady winds from the west-southwest from eight to twelve miles per hour. But perhaps the most concerning component of the weather conditions for game time is the likelihood of smoke and haze.
Wait.. what?
The presence of smoke is not something that will descend upon the football field moments before kickoff. It’s smokey now, and the forecasted conditions will remain constant for the next week or more. No rain means no help fighting fires. So what does that mean for the LA Rams and Dallas Cowboys?
