When looking for positives and trends, one that is hard to ignore is the Rams playing at or near home. As a matter of fact up until Week 6, Los Angeles played their first five games up and down the West Coast. After a quick trip to Colorado and a win over the Denver Broncos, the Rams were back in California to play and beat both the 49ers and the Green Bay Packers.

When you do the math, that means LA was a perfect 8-0 heading to a Week 9 game in New Orleans to play the Saints, and get their first loss of the season. They’d return to LA for two more home games, and two more wins, before the bye week.

Bottom line is that the Rams have been close to home for a good chunk of the season. Despite being 1-1 on the road against the NFC North and a rare home loss to the Eagles in the Coliseum, Los Angeles and the Western time zone has been good for the home team.

So what about the Rams maybe having to go to New Orleans again for an NFC championship game? Well, it means that if they take care of business at home, they get a rematch against a team they potentially match up well against, will have the benefit of recent memory, and an opportunity to avenge a loss.

The Los Angeles Rams are in prime position via momentum and getting healthier at the right time. They go into the playoffs having taken care of their business that provides a two game win streak to go along with a 13-3 record. They are also a tremendously strong two seed who can beat anyone in the playoff field.

Meaning that winning at home and in a part of the country where they’ve played so well is the first step towards an NFC Championship and a Lombardi Trophy.
