3. Terrence Brooks

Back in 2017, the Jets decided to acquire Brooks from the Philadelphia Eagles with the hope he would manage to make a surprise impact, which seemed to be the case at first after New York rewarded the safety with a two-year extension the following season.

Unfortunately, Brooks didn’t play well enough throughout the 2018 season to convince the team to bring him back for another year after the Jets decided to decline his option for this year, meaning the Florida State product will hit the open market in an attempt to find a new team.

In five NFL seasons, Brooks has only one career start to his name (2017 with the Jets), but his experience alone could provide Los Angeles with some much-needed depth at the safety position, especially if Lamarcus Joyner ends up leaving in free agency, as early signs point to being the case.

Just because things failed to work out for the best with Brooks in New York doesn’t necessary mean he can’t turn things around on a new team like the Rams, as one can imagine what kind of project this would be for Wade Phillips trying to bring out the best in the safety on defense.
