2. Henderson can ease his way into rotation

For obvious reasons, the Rams would love nothing more than to see Henderson find immediate success as a rookie to make this third-round selection look like an absolute steal, but also they can afford to be a little patient if needed.

One of the main reasons behind the decision by Los Angeles to move on from Anderson was due to their confidence in Malcolm Brown taking on a larger role if needed as Gurley’s backup.

Not to mention, Rams fans also remember well just how great of a job John Kelly did last preseason as a rookie, meaning the team will have an extra option to consider as well if needed.

But knowing Sean McVay, the Los Angeles head coach will make sure his new beloved running back gets caught up to speed as quickly as possible over the next couple of months to make sure Henderson will be ready to go come September.

If this turns out to be the case, the Rams will be in much better position at running back, all while helping take some of the pressure off Jared Goff under center in the process since the quarterback can use all of the extra help possible after last season.
