While the Los Angeles Rams have been improving steadily since a disastrous 6-11 season in 2022, this team continues to race against the clock. MVP Matthew Stafford is trying to remain LA's starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. Is this his year?

Forget the NFL analysts who try to punch holes in the Rams roster. This is one of the NFL's best, and the team not only shored up a shaky secondary. The team subtly signed special team savants who will fill the dual roles of producing while mentoring younger players in elite techniques.

And the team continues to find the best and brightest minds in the NFL to add to an already robust coaching staff.

Still, 2025 is both complicated and difficult. This is a year littered with travel miles, tough opposition, and a record-tying number of prime-time games. But in the end, it's not the when or the where, as games are won and lost by the players.

2026 Los Angeles Rams schedule: Game-by-game predictions & final record projection

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a 12-5 season and continue to inch ever so closer to the apex of the NFL hierarchy. Will this be their season? The brass seems to think so, as the team was lasar-focused in the NFL free agency market, and was content with drafting just five rookies. To place it all in perspective, that is the franchise';s smallest draft class of all time.

Los Angeles Rams Schedule

PRESEASON (1-2)

  • Week 1 - @ Kansas City Chiefs - | Even as fans understand the concept of sitting starters (and primary backups), Los Angeles will be the talk of the NFL in the preseason. There will be as many NFL analysts armed with "I told you so," vitriol over the debut of rookie quarterback Ty Simpson as there are positive articles. But Simpson won't be the problem. These Chiefs loaded up with young talent. LOSS: 34-28
  • Week 2 - New Orleans Saints -| The Saints are another team hoping to find success in 2026. But their time may not have arrived. They believe that their team is best run by QB Tyler Shough. It is, but their depth is not quite ready for the Rams. Meanwhile, Simpson finds rookie TE Max Klare, WR CJ Daniels, and RB Jarquez Hunter for touchdowns. WIN: 31-10
  • Week 3 = @ Los Angeles Chargers - | The road designation is ironic, as both Los Angeles teams call SoFi Stadium Home. In Week 3, look for the LA Rams to be sitting almost everyone who makes the 53-man roster. Still, it's a close game. LOSS: 17-14

REGULAR SEASON (14-3)

Week 1 - TNF In Australia | San Francisco 49ers -

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan decried playing in Melbourne, Australia, and now the NFL will see why. Los Angeles is a solid traveling team, and after a shaky first quarter, it settles down for a solid season opener. The Rams offense picks up where it left off. The Niners offense does as well, as TE George Kittle may sit this one out. WIN: 35-10

Week 2 - MNF | New York Giants

The Giants are eager to flip the coin of their fortunes. And new head coach John Harbaugh restores toughness to their team. This game proves to be a slobberknocker, but the Rams offense comes through: WIN: 21-14

Week 3 = SNF | @ Denver Broncos

The Broncos are perennially tough in Mile High, and this season will be no different. Despite a solid game plan, Los Angeles will feel travel fatigue in the low-oxygen altitude. This just isn't their day. LOSS: 28-24

Week 4 -@ Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles always seem to get great grades from analysts over their roster moves. But Philly folded down the stretch in 2025, and still has the rebellious veteran wide receiver AJ Brown to offload at some point. The Eagles loaded up on young talent (again). But LA finally figures out how to beat the Brotherly Shove. WIN: 31-20

Week 5 - MNF | Buffalo Bills

The parade of successive contenders continues, with another playoff hopeful Bills team being a tough test for LA. But the Bills are entrenched in a scheduling quagmire of their own. In a neutral stadium, this may turn out another way. In this one, LA squeaks by. WIN: 24=23

Week 6 - Arizona Cardinals

The first matchup of head coach Sean McVay with former offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. There won't be much sleight-of-hand prestidigitation in this one, just smash-mouth trench warfare. LA prevails. WIN: 29-24

Week 7 - @ Las Vegas Raiders

LA would love to get quarterback Ty Simpson on the football field in this one, just to prove that Simpson is a qualified rival to rookie QB Fenando Mendoza. Mendoza gets the start, but Los Angeles gets the win. WIN: 27-3

Week 8 - Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers hope that new offensive coordinator Mike McDonald is the keymaster to unlocking quarterback Justin Herbert's full potential. He'll have his work cut out for him, as Hebert only led the Bolts offense to 20th place in 2025. This is basically a home game for both teams. But no NFL team finishes the season without some losses. This ends up as an L for the Horns. LOSS: 28-27

Week 9 - @ Washington Commanders

While the Commanders may have been up to something in the past, their roster is undergoing a bit of a youth movement in 2026. As such, veteran leadership is under a bit of changing of the guard. The Commanders may find more success in 2026, but not after LA drops a game. WIN: 30-19

Week 10 - @ Arizona Cardinals

LaFleur gave his former team a scare in Week 6. But the Yellow and Blue are ready in this one. Now for the Hollywood Plot Twist. The score gets so out of hand that the team gives rookie quarterback Ty Simpson his first taste of live NFL action. WINL 42-17

Week 11 - BYE

A Week 11 BYE is music to LA fans ears. After 10 games, the Yellow and Blue limp into the BYE with a record of 8-2. But the job's not done just yet, as Los Angeles must rest up this week and be ready for fierce competition. Record at Week 11 BYE: 8-2

Week 12 - Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve | Green Bay Packers

A mid -season Wednesday game is a rather new concept for the NFL. But Los Angeles shrewdly hosts this one, and it virtually guarantees a BYE or TNF game in Week 11. The Packers arrive, hoping to stay in the race in the NFC North. Fortunately, they fall in this one. The Rams offense comes alive. WIN: 45-31

Week 13 - TNF | Kansas City Chiefs

Hoo boy. Veteran cornerbacks Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie want to show up big in this one. And Matt Conner, a Chiefs expert from Arrowhead Addict, believes this stretch is incredibly tough for a Chiefs team trying to flip the script to success. He's spot on, as LA pulls off another victory. WIN: 38-30

Week 14 - @ San Francisco 49ers

Some NFL analysts have already anointed the 49ers as the best in the NFC. Well, the Horns may have something to say about that. San Fran continues to benefit from a rather easy schedule, but they have yet to prove mastery of the NFC West Division. RB Christian McCaffrey, OT Trent Williams, FB Kyle Juszczyk, and WRs Mike Evans and Demarcus Robinson are all getting up in years. They look their age in this one. WIN: 28-10

Week 15 - Dallas Cowboys

While the Cowboys got plenty of offseason praise, they still have to suit up and perform. They may be a playoff-bound team in 2026, but they will hit a bump in the road against Los Angeles. WIN: 33-27

Week 16 - Christmas Day | @ Seattle Seahawks

It's time for the Horns to play the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. And whose Christmas is best spoiled than that of the Seattle Seahawks? After losing two of three to its NFC West Division rival, LA roars in this one. Seahawks elite WR Jaxson Njiba-Smith is held in check, while the pass rush feasts by sacking QB Sam Darnold up to a half-dozen times. WIN: 26-11

Week 17 - To Be Determined | @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

LA is feeling rather weary. After a season of incessant competition against motivated and formidable opponents, one more long-distance travel game as the season winds down is a tough schedule, and with the Buccaneers fighting for their postseason lives, this one doesn't go as planned. LA shows up flat-footed, and the Bucs win this one. LOSS: 28-13

Week 18 - To Be Determined | Seattle Seahawks

In Week 18, both LA and Seattle's playoff berths are set in stone. That almost certainly pits backups against backups. Rams fans are shocked to see quarterback Stetson Bennett get the nod to start over rookie Ty Simpson. But Bennett is the right choice, as he leads the JV squad to a come-from-behind upset victory over the Seahawks starters. WIN: 21-20

The LA Rams win the NFC West Division by sweeping all three rivals. But stay tuned, as we will continue to sort out who will shine this season.
