Bulger Out

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

It was reported yesterday that Marc Bulger has a concussion and will sit out this Sunday’s game against the Falcons. Gus Frerotte will get the start in his place. Bulger, still experiencing post concussion symptomes after the hit he took in the home loss to Seattle, met with Scott Linehan and the Rams head coach decided to hold him out of this Sunday’s game.
Due to some other obligations, it has been a rough week. I have been trying my best to stay on top of things here and you may or may not see a preview of this Sunday’s game [...]

Offense Can’t Get It Together

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

After the worst loss of the season for the St. Louis Rams on Sunday afternoon, there is reason to believe the issue with our offense could be more than just a short term issue.
Looking at the season as a whole, we just haven’t been able to get off the ground offensively. The only game where we came even close was in New Orleans when we scored 37 points against a team that was hurting badly. I still think you have to factor in the fact that it has been a season ravaged by injuries and that greatly impacts the team [...]

We’ll Never Know About Sean Taylor

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The NFL world lost a talented part of its brethern yesterday morning when Sean Taylor passed away. After being shot in his house a couple of days ago after a robber reportedly broke into his house, the Redskins safety lost his life early yesterday morning.
Nobody will ever know what happened to Taylor that night and the many nights before. There were reported break-ins to his south Florida home on November 18th and 17th. The bottum line is, no one will ever know if these break-ins were connected with the robbery that ended his life.
My thoughts and prayers go out to [...]

Bulger Should Play Sunday

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

According to the Post-Dispatch, Marc Bulger is feeling better and his concussion on Sunday was only minor. Therefore, he expects to play. This is no knock on Bulger, but I think we could beat a lowly Falcons team with Gus Frerotte at quarterback. I’m saying if it came down to a situation where Bulger could use some rest, it’s not a must win game and even so, its a winable game for the Rams. If Bulger is 100 percent, I say put him out there. If there’s a chance he might get another concussion, you might want to give him [...]

Rams Review Week 12: What Would Bulger Do? (WWBD)

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’m sure many Rams fans are wondering right now what yesterday’s game would have been like had Marc Bulger stayed in for it’s entirety. Bulger left the game midway through the first half after getting sacked in the ribs, which we know already haunted him at an earlier point in the season. The St. Louis Rams couldn’t quite hold onto themselves (including the ball when it really mattered) in a 24-19 loss to the Seattle Seahawks yesterday afternoon at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. As I have said since getting our first win against the Saints, we need to [...]

Week 12- Seahawks @ Rams

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The St. Louis Rams have had a roller coaster season and they continue it this Sunday afternoon at home against the division winning Seattle Seahawks who are 6-4 and have won their last 2, as have the Rams.
*Offense- Everything for the offense has been looking good on the injury front as Brett Romberg is expected to play, but I am still concerned with the inadequate play of Marc Bulger. He couldn’t even reach 200 yards passing last weekend against the Niners defense. The rest of the offense, including Steven Jackson needs to rally around Bulger for this game because [...]

Rams Are ‘Set For Steussie’s Return’

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Rams have it all right now. The team picked up its second win in a row on Sunday and now it looks like Todd Steussie, the guard who went on injured reserve a week before the season started, is on his way back to the playing field.
The team agreed to an injury settlement back on September 5th and with Steussie set to resign with St. Louis today, there’s little doubt he won’t start on Sunday against the Seahawks. How realistic is the chance of Steussie returning?
“Oh, I think it’ll definitely be realistic,” Rams offensive coordinator Greg Olson said. “When [...]

Rams Review- Week 11: Two In a Row, Whataya Know!

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well, it could have been one of the ugliest wins in Rams history but it will was a win. St. Louis pulled away from the Niners yesterday, winning their second straight game, a 13-9 final score in San Francisco. The game was sealed on an interception by O. J. Atogwe at the goaline with time running out. Trent Dilfer (I had no idea he was going to start this game!) led his team down the field and nearly won the game in the final seconds but the Rams survived a big time scare.
“You would’ve thought we won the Super Bowl [...]

Week 11- Rams @ 49ers

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

This Sunday afternoon, the St. Louis Rams will have a chance to start off the second half of the season 2-0. They would be 2-7 with the win over a 49ers team that is in complete shambles right now with an offense that is terrible and a head coach still mourning the death of his beloved father. The Rams have to take advantage of this, if they want to stay in the hunt for anything in the NFC West.
*Offense- Well, the Rams are coming off of their best offensive performance of the season in their only win of the season. [...]

Welcome The Ebony Bird

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I would like to formally introduce Jarrett Carter to the Fansided Community with his new Ravens site, The Ebony Bird. I checked out his old site about Scott Van Pelt. He did an excellent job over there and I’m sure he’ll be a great addition to Fansided. Good luck, Jarrett!
