SJ39 Ready To Go For Sunday
I’m not prepared to get crazy and start calling this Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins a “must-win” for the Rams, but after the way the team has looked during its 0-3 start, I think this is about as important a game as you can have in Week 4 of the NFL. Let’s be honest … in this NFC West, you are never out of contention until you get mathematically eliminated. With that being said, I believe if the Rams are going to compete for a division crown in 2011, it starts Sunday against the Skins. Washington is on a [...]
Rams In The Hood
In a move that probably should have happened a few weeks ago, the Rams went out and got cornerback help on Tuesday. According to sources, the team signed veteran CB Rod Hood, 29, who has spent eight years in the NFL. Hood is expected to be at practice in full on Wednesday. Some of you may remember him from his time in Arizona with the Cardinals, but he missed the entire 2010 season with a torn ACL. Overall in his career, Hood has 14 interceptions in 94 NFL games. All I can say is … it’s about time. I’m not [...]
Stan Kroenke needs to step in and clean house.
As I read through all of the blogs and scour all the NFL sites, it seems as though the Rams players are the ones getting most of the criticism. Although it is very true that they are looking pretty bad on the field, how many years now have they looked bad? How many players have been traded away from the Rams to go and excel somewhere else? Are all of the hundreds of players that have come, gone, or still remain that bad? Once they cross the state line into MO, is it the water that turns our NFL hopefuls into [...]
The Aftermath Of Rams-Ravens
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo addressed the media on Monday, and needless to say it wasn’t the most upbeat presser of all time. I thought he certainly had some interesting things to say about Sunday’s game, especially when he discussed the issues with the defense. According to Spags, the team game-planned to stop Ray Rice. Apparently, they forgot that the Ravens also employ a pretty good quarterback and some talented receivers. Here’s the quote: “Now, here’s what happened and as you watch the film we kind of felt during the game, but it was evident there were, I’m going to roughly [...]
DONT QUIT ON THEM!!!
I’m DONE! 0-3 starts means we should look towards the draft. NO! Please don’t say that and don’t give up. Our first 8 games won’t be easy and our team is looking the best in the west, we still have a chance. Danario Alexander was limited so we wouldn’t lose him again like last year. In order for us to have to a chance we need to at least get 3-4 in our first 7 games. Turn that around and we can go 9-7 and win our division. We still have a chance and remember in the NFL, there are [...]
Another Distaser For The Rams
I don’t even really know what to say about this team anymore. As I was sitting in the stands watching the 37-7 debacle at the hands of the Ravens, I was trying to remember why exactly everyone was so excited before the season started. Let’s be honest… this team just isn’t very good right now. I’m sick of blaming the injuries. There’s absolutely no excuse for an NFL team to show up with such a lack of fire and enthusiasm for a home game, I don’t care what the scenario is. What I saw today was absolutely unacceptable. It’s almost [...]
Keys For Rams Against Ravens
Jackson Not Looking Good For Sunday
We are getting closer to Sunday, and the news on Steven Jackson isn’t looking promising. After giving it a go in practice on Thursday, SJ39 did not participate on Friday and is still being called a game-time decision for Sunday against the Ravens. Honestly, I really thought Jackson would be good to go this week, and he still might play, but at this point it’s not looking good. As far as Cadillac Williams goes, he was limited today and will also likely be a game-time decision. It sounds as if Caddy is the more likely of the two to be [...]
SJ39 Participates In Rams Practice
Thursday’s practice for the Rams saw some positive steps for some of the injured players on the roster, but no one was watched more closely that running back Steven Jackson. Jackson gave it a go out there today, but his reps were limited as he continues to deal with the quad injury. Jackson is being listed as questionable, and my guess would be that he will be a game-time decision again this week when the Rams welcome the Baltimore Ravens to town. It’s good news that SJ39 was out there today, but to be honest I was hoping he would [...]
Is anyone ever going to man-up for the Rams?
Hello? Earth to the Rams? Is anyone there? Steve? Sam? Josh? Steven? Stan? Billy? Does anyone give a crap that the Rams are becoming, once again, the laughing stock of the NFL? Please tell me it’s more than just collecting a paycheck and going home? Is there any pride at all? Perhaps you should all watch A Football Life with Bill Belichick and take some from friggin notes on how you should be planning, acting, playing, and coaching. It was an absolutely pathetic performance on MNF in front of the nation. Penalties, dropped passes, bad coaching, dropped punts, etc. It’s [...]
