My name is Darryn Yates. I pretty much have 2 passions in life besides family and they are sports & music. I was born and raised in Granite City, IL, right across the Mississippi River from St. Louis; my dad was a high school football coach and my mother was a teacher. I moved to southern California in 1993 before the Rams moved to St. Louis. I followed the Rams religiously since St. Louis had no team; the Cardinals had moved to Arizona. I ended up moving back to the St. Louis area in 2005. I am a rock musician (singer/songwriter of the band On Tracy Lane). Besides St. Louis, I have lived in Normal IL, San Diego CA, Pomona CA, Los Angeles CA, and Nashville TN. My music has taken me all over the country and to Greenland where I performed for the US troops. Writing has always been a strong point of mine; it comes very natural to me. Plus, I have a lot to say about sports in our world today and the St. Louis Rams. I welcome you to The Rams Rock Report - a view on sports, particularly the Rams, with a rock n' roll flavor to it. Whatever that means.
