WR Clayton is Back!
So, yea, Mark Clayton is back with the Rams on a one-year deal, according to ESPN. What does this mean, given the current disaster at the position? I’ll tell you what it means – another useless receiver. Oh what!?!? Did he just say Clayton is useless? What the hell is this guy thinkin’? Yes that is exactly what I said! But before the mob of offended readers behead me, hear me out for a second. Clayton is still recovery from a serious knee injury, that needed surgery by the way. He is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) [...]
Rams TE Situation
Obviously the most talked about camp battle that is coming down to its last days is the WR battle, and everyone has a different opinion. Another position I’ll be watching this Thursday is that of the TE. Coming in to last week, I would have thought that the 2 locks would be Lance Kendricks and Billy Bajema. Kendricks obviously because of his outstanding versatility and athleticism he has shown throughout camp and preseason. Bajema I think would be a lock because A) his inline blocking ability, and B) if they didn’t keep him, the most “senior” memer of the TE [...]
Madden 12 Rams Rankings
For those of you gamers out there, the new installation of the Madden football series was released on Tuesday. I checked out the game and it was excellent, but I was more concerned with the rankings the Rams and individual players on the team received. Overall, I have to say I was pretty happy with most of it, and I thought the developers did a pretty nice job with the team. Now, the roster I saw hadn’t been updated with the new players yet, but the main players were pretty well-ranked. Maybe most importantly, the Rams were the highest ranked [...]
Rams Let Diggs Go
I can’t say this came as a major surprise, but the St. Louis Rams released linebacker Na’il Diggs on Monday. I like Diggs quite a bit, but this was the right move for the team. Brady Poppinga and Ben Leber are almost certainly going to start alongside James Laurinaitis when the regular season opens, and there really just wasn’t a spot for Diggs if you look at some of the other, younger guys at the position. I’m sure Diggs will catch on somewhere else, because I still believe he has something left in the tank, and I’d say he will [...]
Rams Make Some Cuts
You are going to be hearing a lot about cuts over the next week, so I figured I’d get it all started tonight since the Rams have begun trimming the roster. According to the team, the Rams let go of wide receivers Joe West and Jared Jenkins and tight end Schuylar Oordt. None of these guys really had a chance to make the final roster, and I would consider them just camp bodies, but I did like what I saw from Oordt in limited time. I liked him in college, and I thought he made a pretty nice showing for [...]
Plenty To Like About Rams Win In KC
I don’t really care what the Rams record is during the preseason, but I have to admit that I was rooting hard for the team to hold on for the victory in the final minutes of Friday night’s game in Kansas City. I couldn’t tell you what the Rams finished record-wise in any preseason, but there’s something about being “undefeated”, even if it doesn’t really count. After going back and watching the game from last night, I saw some things that make me very excited for the regular season to begin. I touched on it a bit last night, but [...]
Finally We (Already Had) Got Our #1 WR
It’s done the wide receiver need on the Rams is finished. But did we know we always had it? The number one wide receiver problem we had. Which Brandon Gibson in my opinion is our #1 wide receiver, Then MSW, then Danny, and Greg Salas? Brandon will be a big fantasy sleeper so get him now! He will do what Brandon Lloyd did last year. Thanks Pat for leaving, because we have a better Offensive coordinator. Austin Pettis is not doing so well and the only person proving themselves at that position the most is Mardy Gilyard. Being the best [...]
Rams Stay Perfect In Preseason With 14-10 Win In KC
It was another day, and another win for the St. Louis Rams on Friday night when they strolled into Kansas City and took back the Governor’s Cup with a 14-10 preseason win. This outing was far and away better than last week’s effort against the Titans, and I’m really starting to feel good about the upcoming season. It’s one thing to say the preseason doesn’t mean much, but the third game is the “dress rehearsal” for the regular season and the Rams passed the test. I thought the offense looked good in the first half, and they scored on their [...]
Get To Know The Chiefs
In preparation for tonight’s third preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs, I got together with Chiefs writer Patrick Allen to discuss our two squads so we could give our readers some things to watch out for. Patrick does a great job over at Arrowhead Addict and if you want to see some of my answers to his questions or if you want more news on the Chiefs, head over there to check it out. Here’s what he had to say when I asked him asked him about his team. 1. The Chiefs have seemingly done a great job in the draft [...]
Rams players distracted by Twitter? What do u think…
Ok, this is just an observation, but I just went through all of the Rams players and discovered who is most active on Twitter. Ok I am lying I only went through several, but I found an interesting possible trend. Most of the proven players who are for-sure starters or backups are either rarely on Twitter or if they are, its mostly about football stuff for the fans. The others who are on the bubble or who are fighting for a job (aka unproven in the NFL) seem to be on Twitter pretty much all the time. The things they [...]
